Rob Voelker
Sports Director
Rob became sports director at Manhattan Broadcasting in May of 2008. You can hear Rob on the morning sports on KMAN and B 104.7, co-hosting "The Game" with Matt Walters 2 days a week, broadcasts of the Area High School Football game of the week and Manhattan High basketball, and as a contributor to Powercat Gameday. He is excited to be working and living in Manhattan.
Rob is a native of Lincoln, NE, and is the oldest of six children. Rob wanted to be a sportscaster since he was 4 years old, and got his first taste of the business by working during his high school years at KLIN/KEZG/KFGE/KKUL in Lincoln from 1995-1998. He then moved onto the University of Kansas, where he gained experience at campus radio station KJHK and KLWN-AM in Lawrence. Rob also interned at WGN Radio in Chicago, IL in the summer of 2001. He graduated from KU one year later, and began his professional career at KLMJ/KQCR radio in Hampton, IA. Voelker covered 13 area high schools there and did play-by-play of football, volleyball,
basketball, baseball, and softball.

Hobbies and interests: Watching and playing sports, listening to music, watching movies, and hanging out with family and friends.

One thing I'd like to do before I die: Attend the Sunday round of the Masters golf tournament (I've been to a practice round)
