JORDAN SEDLACEK

Not straying too far from my hometown of Marysville, Kan., I came to Kansas State in the fall of 2005 to study Mass Communications.  I’ve always loved performing and since I can remember have been a huge news-fan, therefore I decided to narrow my focus of study to Electronic Journalism, hoping to one day bring the news to you via the television screen. But my junior year I took a class in radio and have been hooked since.  I interned with KMAN in the summer of 2008 and in the fall became a true part-timer, covering weekly meetings and anchoring on the weekends.  I graduated from KSU in December of 2008.

When I’m not in the newsroom, I can usually be found on the couch, soaking up as much reality TV as possible, or at the rec, running.  Or, on the nice days, I’m trying my hand at golf (regardless of many attempts, and an awesome teacher, I’m still horrible), or at old stadium, enjoying the amazing Kansas springs and summers.  All in all, I’m just a small town girl who enjoys the small things in life, loves to laugh, enjoys good company, and still can’t find my way around the kitchen.

Favorite Food:  Anything fast food!  It’s my biggest vice.

Favorite TV Shows:  The Bachelor, The Office, Nip/Tuck, and One Tree Hill

Favorite Sports Team(s):  K-State Wildcats, K.C. Royals and I’m a newly converted Philadelphia Eagles fan.

What’s In Your iPod/CD Player:  I love Classic Rock.  Whether it’s the Eagles, Pink Floyd, or Eric Clapton…it’s on my iPod and fueling my workouts.

Three Things You Can’t Live Without:  My cell phone, a good book (preferably any book from the Twilight Saga (I’m just a bit obsessed)), and a comfy pair of sweats.

A Talent Most People Don’t Know About:  I’m still searching for one…although my co-workers at the bank say I’m really good at cash advances and the encoding machine.  So, if you need any money off your credit card, I’m your girl. ;)

Favorite Part of the Day:  6:00 pm; the work day is over and now it’s time to hit the treadmill.
