A Nebraska woman was rescued from what has become known as the Wal-Mart Ditch, in the 500 Block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard, early this (Friday) morning. 23-year-old Sara Roberts of Rising City, Nebraska was transported by Riley County EMS with a possible leg injury. Mercy Regional Health Center has no record of Roberts. According to RCPD and Manhattan Fire Department reports, Roberts and another individual were walking to Motel six, didn’t see the ditch, and walked into it. The other person was not injured.
