Storm season is upon us, and the National Weather Service and Riley County are stressing preparedness. Riley County Emergency Management Coordinator Laurie Harrison and the National Weather service gave a presentation at Cico Park’s Pottorf Hall Tuesday night dealing with gearing up for storm season. Harrison urges people to have supplies handy in case of emergency, and also to review emergency plans with their families. Harrison described the turnout to Tuesday’s event as a “record turnout”.
