The Kansas Highway patrol reports a couple of injury accidents in the area Sunday, including one on highway 77 a mile north of Randolph. 18-year-old Krista Johnson of Wamego was northbound in a ‘96 Pontiac passenger car, when the vehicle struck a black cow that was in the roadway and came to rest in the east ditch. Johnson was taken to Mercy Regional Health Center where she was treated and released. The accident was reported shortly before two in the morning. Johnson was wearing a seat belt. And in Geary County, 27-year-old Jason Gromlovits and 27-year-old Michael Moyer, both of Junction City, were taken to hospitals following a one vehicle accident on Skiddy road, five and a half miles south of Junction City. Gromlovits was taken to Stormont Vail in Topeka and Moyer was taken to Geary Community hospital. Gromlovits is listed in satisfactory condition at Stormont Vail. Moyer was admitted to the Geary community hospital surgical center and is reported in good condition today (Monday).Gromlovits was driving a 2000 Dodge pickup southbound on Skiddy road when for an unknown reason he lost control, and the vehicle rolled, coming to a rest on its wheels. The accident was reported at about 9:30 Sunday night.
