Priority groups expand for next H1N1 vaccine clinic

Police who are first responders and teachers will be eligible for the next H1N1 vaccine clinic in Westmoreland this Wednesday.

The first wave of H1N1 came in the spring, the second was over September, and there is concern from the state we might see another one over the holidays.

“Over 80% of the people who need the vaccine have not got it yet,” Pottawatomie County Health Director Leslie Cambell, said. “They’re encouraging everyone to go out and get a vaccine if you’re eligible for one. We’re going to try to do schools in the first few weeks of December to get as many of the kids a vaccine we can.”

The vaccine clinic will be offered Wednesday from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
