40 years is a long time, but that’s how long the Manhattan Housing Authority has been in existence. The anniversary was celebrated in style Tuesday, with an open house most of the day and plenty of goodies on hand. Executive Director Jo Ann Sutton told a crowd assembled during the noon hour she has been with the Housing authority for 22 of its 40 years. Manhattan City Commissioner Jim Sherow, who also serves on the Housing Authority’s Board, had praise for the Manhattan Housing Authority. Also making comments during the celebration were Manhattan City Manager Ron Fehr and Vice President of the Housing Authority’s Board, Randy Stitt.
