22-year-old Luis Antonio Aguirre of Ogden made his first appearance in Riley County district court. Aguirre made his appearance by way of a video screen as he is being held in the Riley County jail. Aguirre was read all of his charges and will be appointed an attorney. Riley County attorney Barry Wilkerson requested no bond due to the first degree murder charges, but that request was denied by Judge Merl Wilson. His bond will remain at $2.5-million. Aguirre was arrested in Austin, Texas for the alleged murder of 18-year-old Tanya Maldonado and her 15-month-old son Juan Luis Maldonado. The two were discovered by a hunter in the same shallow grave east of Ogden near the 63-hundred block of 32nd street. Aguirre’s next scheduled appearance is December 7th at 3:30.
