A March jury trial has been set in a Riley County involuntary manslaughter case. Following a Monday status hearing, 27-year-old Timothy Noel of 1005 Walters Drive was set for a March 11th jury trial in Riley County District Court. Noel entered a plea of not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in February, in connection with the death of a three month old infant. Noel was taken into custody about a year ago in connection with the July 26th, 2008 death of a child in northeast Manhattan. Probation has been granted for a Manhattan woman who faced sentencing on several drug-related, burglary, forgery, and theft charges. While granted probation, 28-year-old Toni Lowery had been ordered into in-patient drug treatment and is to follow all after-treatment recommendations. She also is required to pay full restitution on all counts. Lowery entered no contest pleas to a variety of charges in August, involving possession of hydromorphone and oxycodone, battery, theft, identity theft, forgery, burglary counts, and driving while suspended.
